Betting Systems
In this section we discuss the various betting systems that have been tried since blackjack time began, in an attempt to get an edge over the casino.
One thing you ought to understand from the outset, is that systems will not change your odds one iota. This is set by the mechanics of the game (when the dealer sticks, going bust at 21, what the payout is etc). All of these factors are controlled by the casino.
By using a system, what you are doing is attempting to put some rigor in to your play, and to gamble more methodically. There´s nothing wrong with this per se, but make sure you understand the system that you are using (maybe it is your own betting system that you have just made up- that´s also fine). Never use systems in a blind attempt to get one over the house because you´ll come a cropper.
And I know we don´t need to say this, but never buy a system that is claiming to know the secret of beating the casino at blackjack (you won´t get any information before you pay them). We can safely say, that these are all scams. The only winner is the person who gets paid for sending you dud information.
